If there is one thing experts agree on when it comes to children and learning, it is that children learn best through play, a quality central to the Early Learning Programs crafted by Meerilinga for the kids of Perth.
These early learning programs cater to preschool children aged 2.5 to 4 years and have all been rated as "Exceeding" the national quality standards, an accolade achieved by less than 25 percent of similar programs in Perth.
Experienced educators guide and support the children, with a large element of programming spent in the great outdoors in Meerilinga’s nature-inspired outdoor learning environments. Children help look after chickens at some of their centres as part of Meerilinga’s aim to give them real opportunities to contribute to the world around them.
Meerilinga Early Learning Porgram
Meerilinga’s staff comes from many different cultural backgrounds and this rich tapestry provides a hugely positive impact on the learning experiences of the children in their Early Learning Programs. Every Meerilinga Centre prides itself with being a very real part of the community in which they are located, running activities from parenting to first aid courses, along with playgroups and art.
A not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, Meerilinga has long been the advocate and champion of Children in WA and their dedication to children’s futures was recognised when they were asked to be the convenors of Children’s Week in WA

This production of The Jungle Book relies strongly on physical theatre, from a young ensemble, and will incorporate puppetry, poetry, and animation, creating an eclectic style of theatre true to itself.
