Gourmet milkshakes from Whisk
Below are just some of the cafes in Perth that offer freakshakes and crazy desserts as recommended by members. These are definitely ‘special occasion’’ desserts, or perhaps on a less festive day simply ‘why not, I deserve it.’

Whisk, Subiaco
Whisk Creamery is relatively new to Perth and offers one thing only: mind-boggling desserts of all varieties. From the donut-laden milkshakes to gourmet milkshakes with syringes full of caramel and chocolate, nothing here is for the weak-hearted. You can purchase one of their designer creations or make your own from a huge range of items including icecream cones made from cronuts to strawberry and rose mousse.

Mecca Gourmet, Aveley
While Mecca Gourmet offer a full range of food items including breakfast and lunch and dinner, they have recently introduced a new range of gourmet hot chocolates at the reasonable price of $6.50 each with flavours such as choc-mint aero, cookies’n’cream kitkat, ferrero nutellla and white choc rafaello. They also have a huge range of their ‘famous frappes’ with flavours such as picnic caramel choc and rainbow kinder surprise.

Café 2TwentyFour, Belmont
New to the scene, Cafe 2Twentyfour have six ‘supershake’ flavours including the Kinder Surprise and strawberries and cream at $9 each plus the infamous Golden Gaytime Mega shake at $11.90. It’s a meal really.

Café Elixir, Wanneroo
They may only have a few freakshake options but considering one of them is the Birthday Cake Speciality Milkshake ($8), it’s hard to overlook. Besides, they often seem to do one-off desserts and crazy milkshakes which are promoted on their
Facebook page to be snaffled up and then disappear just as quickly.
Address: 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo

Café Elixir
Open: Mon-Wed 7am-5pm, Thur-Fri 7am-10pm, Sat 8am-10pm, Sun 8am-5pm
