When to start school?

I'm just curious if anyone has successfully kept there child back a year from starting school I'm aware that kindy isn't compulsory but he will still have to start in pre primary same age whether he attends kindy or not so as of now I have him in little learners (pre-K) prepping for kindy 2022 he was born June 2018 making him 2.5 now (all his class mates are now 3.5). He will just have gone 3.5 years when he starts kindy. Now my worries aren't really based around academically or socially but more so emotionally and physically he is still very attached still breast feeding and being he starts at 3.5 will most likely be struggling with toileting. Then later down the track when he enters year 7 high school at 11! emotionally and physically I don't see how this is viable at such a young age is there anyone I can contact to see if I'm able to keep him from starting kindy till 2023? he was born 2 days before the cut off period he is a month prem so technically if he was born on his due date he wouldn't be starting till 2023 anyway? Thank you
