Discover our upcoming series of events at Revolutions Transport Museum - a great place to visit for the whole family.

Coming soon to Revolutions.

Still Life Drawing Sessions

Our monthly still-life drawing sessions are held in the museum gallery space, allowing participants to get creative while surrounded by inspirational displays.

At each session, a different selection of objects from the Whiteman Collection will be brought out specifically for participants to draw. Participants will start by learning the significance of each item with a short talk from a museum staff member, before the self-guided drawing sessions begin.

Participants are asked to bring their own drawing materials and to experiment with their work. No previous experience is necessary.

Upcoming sessions: Saturday 30 October from 10am – 12noon

at Revolutions Transport Museum, Whiteman Park

Cost: $5 per person

Places are extremely limited so reserve your spot early – www.whitemanpark.com.au/whats-on

September - October School Holidays - On the Farm

Slip on your overalls and fire up the tractor - we're heading out on the farm these school holidays at Revolutions Transport Museum!

There will be heaps of activities for the whole family to get involved in, including making your own farm animal popsicle puppets, drawing your own farm to hang on our picture board, or taking part in a spring harvest - collect all of the farm items around our museum and glue them to your own Model T Ford!

25 September - 10 October 2021, Revolutions Transport Museum

All activities are subject to COVID restrictions and we ask all of our visitors to be COVID-safe!

Cletrac Crawler Tractor Demonstration

Hear the sounds of the Cletrac Crawler tractor at work as we demonstrate this little power engine! Join us as we turn on one of the tractors in the Whiteman Collection and demonstrate how this machine worked. Loved for its revolutionary roller chain system, the Cletrac was built in 1921 and could pull up to 90% of its body weight!

This is a rare opportunity to see part of the museum collection in action! Join us on the forecourt outside Revolutions Transport Museum from 10am to 12noon on Thursday 7 October to see the demonstration.

Free entry.

Railway Guard's Box - Cabinet of Curiosities

Discover the latest objects at Revolutions Transport Museum with our Railway Guard's Box on display in the Cabinet of Curiosities.

The Railway Guard played a very important role in looking after the train and its passengers - including loading freight and passenger luggage, controlling the emergency brake and signalling the driver to stop and go. Railway Guards worked on rail services until the mid-1980s and the Western Australian Government Railways issued these boxes to guards to store their papers and equipment while on the job.

Come and see inside a Railway Guard's box and learn more about the important role guards played.

On display until December 2021.

Coming Soon - Rail 150: Tracks of Change exhibition

To celebrate 150 years of railways in Western Australia, Revolutions Transport Museum invites you to discover the social impact railways have had on the lives of Western Australians. Railways have transported passengers and goods across Western Australia's extensive landscape - used for public transport, commercial delivery, and private venture, railway lines have opened the opportunity for rapid and bulk conveyance.

The day-to-day lives of Western Australians have been opened to new opportunities, as well as unexpected challenges, as railways brought growth, closures, destruction, and freedom to the State.

Come and see the latest exhibition, on display from mid-October to early 2022.

Free entry.
