Ballajura is a northern suburb located just 14km from the Perth CBD, making it a popular suburb for city workers, yet it is also family-friendly, with several schooling options, child care facilities and due to its close proximity to the Swan Valley and Whiteman Park. In our series of articles titled ‘Welcome to my Suburb’ , we take a closer look at Ballajura.

Public transport
While Ballajura does not have a railway station, it does have several local bus services that can take you straight to the city. The number 344 bus takes around 20-25 minutes to reach the city. The nearest train stations are Bassendean and Ashfield.

  • Illawarra Medical Centre is open from 7:30am to 8pm on weekdays (7pm Fridays) on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm and Sundays 9am to12pm

  • Ballajura Shopping Centre has a Supa IGA, post office, newsagents, bakery, butcher and the Cricketers Arms, plus other shops.
