A list of just some of the events taking place for the Perth school holidays!
The school holidays are upon us once again! That means two weeks of trying to keep the kids entertained on a daily basis.
Perth always has plenty of events and activities on offer for the school holidays – below is a snippet of the events you can send the kids off to or spend the day together at as a family.
Perth Royal Show 2018
Claremont Showgrounds, Graylands Avenue, Claremont

Dates: Saturday, 22 September to Saturday, 29 September

Take a trip down Sideshow Alley, pick a showbag or two and have a go on the rides or try your luck with the games.

School Holiday Circus
CirQuest, 17 Howlett Street, North Perth

Dates: September 25 to 28 and October 1 to 4 at various times of the day, depending on the age group.
Designed for children aged between 2 and 15 years.
Holiday programs run daily between September 25 to 28 and October 1 to 4.
Children will learn a variety of skills, including trapeze, juggling, acrobatics, hula hoops, silks, trampoline, stilt walking and unicycling!
Come along for one session or come along for the week. Bookings are essential.
Circus WA Spring School Holiday Programs*

Circus activities for children aged 5 and over.
Learn to juggle, spin plates, walk a tight-wire and hang from a trapeze!
Adult Conditioning programs for teens aged 15 and over and adults are also on offer!

Paint Pouring for Kids
Perth Artists Workshops, Salesian Court, Queens Park

Dates: Wednesday, 26 September or Monday, 1 October
Come and learn how to paint!
Suitable for children aged 10 and over.
Children will produce a piece of art to bring home.
Spring Carnival at Sorrento Quay Boardwalk
Location: Hillarys Boat Harbour, Southside Drive, Hillarys

Dates: Friday, 21 December to Sunday, 7 October from 10am to 5pm
Come along and enjoy carnival rides, activities and Old Mac Donald’s Farm!
Pop Up Carnival Amusement Park will include bungee trampolines, bee plane rides, slides and more and range from $6 to $12 and are suitable for children aged 2 to 12 years.
Old MacDonalds Farm will run from Monday, 24th September to Friday, 28 September and from Monday, 1 October to Friday, 5 October between 10am to 2pm. Cost is $5 entry per child.
Zoorassic Park at Perth Zoo

Dates: From Saturday, 15 September 2018 to Tuesday, 15 January 2019
Come and see some amazing life-sized dinosaurs!
The dinosaurs are dotted around the zoo – see a giant kangaroo, a giant wombat the size of a hippo and a giant horned tortoise that is the size of a small car!
The Playleozone is a hands-on, digging pit that the kids can find dinosaur fossils in! It is open daily between 9am and 3pm.
Tech Workshops
Locations throughout Perth

Dates: Most dates during the September/October school holidays
FireTech runs tech based workshops all over Perth.
Workshops include Build 3D Games, Junior Robotics, Digital Music for teens and Storytelling with Lego.
Workshops are available to children aged 6 and over.
Hello Kitty, Karrinyup Shopping Centre

Come and see the Hello Kitty stage shows and meet Hello Kitty!
Stage shows will take place during the first week of the holidays and a Hello Kitty pop-up zone will take place in the second week.

Amazing ArtQuarium – colour your fish, scan it in, then watch it swim around on the big screen! Free, but bookings are essential. Located outside Big W.
Aquatic Critters Up Close – get up close and personal with a variety of fresh and salt water critters plus learn about them during interactive educational talks at 12pm and 2pm. Free, located outside Woolworths.
Mermaid Appearances. Meet a mermaid near Coles from 12pm to 2pm daily.
