With 18 month old twin boys, I struggle to find places that I can have a great coffee and not have to worry about disrupting other patrons. My twins are very active, and very loud. Today I headed into Cockburn Central where I discovered the Mooba Espresso Bar and Cafe.

Mooba is located right near the Cockburn Central Train Station, with ample parking. The café is run out of a sea container and is conveniently located next to the Cockburn Water Park and a lovely shaded grassed area for running room.



The menu offers lunch bar items such as sandwiches and smoothies, with an average price ranging between $4-$15. There are vegan, gluten free and raw options on the menu as well as a kids range. I ordered a cappuccino while the boys enjoyed strawberry milkshakes and some toasties. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.



There were mini tables and chairs for the little ones and lots of room for prams in the casual outdoor setting. Highchairs were limited but I noticed a mother’s group sitting on a picnic blanket with their crawlers. My two kept themselves entertained with the giant Connect 4 game and there were boxes of blocks and cars as well as a ping-pong table for the bigger kids.



Mooba has a service where you can text your coffee order through, which is perfect when you’re on the go or wanting that caffeine injection on the way to work. Details can be found on their website.

The nearest toilet and change table facilities are located within Cockburn Central Train Station, a short walk from the café.

With its ample parking, large open space for multiple prams and toys to keep kids of different ages amused, I will definitely be returning to the Mooba Espresso Bar and Café. Being so close to the waterpark means mums and dads can grab a coffee to go and let them have a blast on a hot summer’s day. Even my tough 18 month old critics were impressed.

For a great takeaway cappuccino, or a casual catch up with your mother’s group, Mooba Espresso Bar and Café is a great option for toddler friendly coffee.
