Move over Muppets, Spare Parts is making a musical.
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre returns these school holidays with The One Who Planted Trees, an exciting musical based on the classic short story of the same name by Jean Giono.
In The One Who Planted Trees, Bandicoot, Koala and a very fun-loving Frill Necked lizard regale their story, part truth, part myth but mostly inspiration, of a woman who transforms her world to bring about hope and happiness for herself and the world around her.
Do you ever wonder how much just one person out of 7.8 billion can really accomplish?
Directed by Philip Mitchell and featuring Spare Parts' talented performers Amberly Cull, Bec Bradley and Nick Pages Oliver, The One Who Planted Trees is a fun, joyous production for all the family to enjoy!
It is sure to have everyone humming out of the theatre, pulling out the spade and watering plants into the ground while also inspiring discussion about the global climate emergency with children.
"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second-best time is today." Chinese Proverb
The One Who Planted Trees is perfect for ages 5 and up but is suitable for everyone. Tickets are now on sale for this strictly limited season; early bookings are advised to avoid disappointment.
