According to the Last Drop Beeliar Facebook page, the venue has now closed.

Sundays are a popular day for families at the Last Drop Beeliar. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a couple of minutes of peace while a giant bouncy castle entertains the kids? This relatively new establishment takes child-friendly to a whole new level, with a massive games room, great kids menu and family day every Sunday.

Located on the corner of Hammond Road and Beeliar Drive, this Tudor-inspired pub, restaurant and brewery has been up and running for the past year and is under the same management as the Last Drop Canning Vale. They do however, stress that the establishments are vastly different in their own right, each offering unique beers and menu items.

The games room is a huge drawcard for families. There’s a combination of arcade-style games and a pool table, which are both great entertainment for older kids. It’s set apart from the restaurant and surprisingly not too noisy. There are seating options available if you want to remain close to the kids.

The kids menu is relatively cheap at $12 a pop, which includes a soft drink or an activity pack – the packs can also be purchased for $3. Containing activity books, crayons and stickers, they are sure to keep little kids entertained between mouthfuls of food. There are six options available for children under 12, including chicken and veggie pasta, pizza and hot dogs.

With our daughter Olivia settled into the high chair, my husband and I ordered our mains – chilli mussels for him and a chicken Caesar salad for myself. My husband is rather fussy about the mussels, but the sauce was rich with flavour, the bread soft and fluffy and most of the oysters open. He prised open the rest and well…he’s still alive, so no harm done.

I’m pretty fussy with my Caesar salad. Warm chicken and boiled egg, soft bacon pieces and a tangy sauce (on the side), covered with shaved parmesan. It’s not hard to mess up, but I’ve had some doozies in my time. This one was just about perfection, so I was happy.

If you enjoy craft beers, be sure to whet your whistle with some of the pilsners and pales brewed on site. There are dark and mild ales to try and some are modelled on local and international beers.

If beer is not your thing, there’s a huge range of wines, spirits, soft drinks or cheeky cocktails available over the bar.

Plenty of space for kids to run around

If you are looking for a new kid-friendly venue, look no further than the Last Drop Brewery and let the kids entertain themselves (for a minute or two).
