A child-friendly cafe with lots of space to manoeuvre the pram.

I regularly visit the local Waldecks in Stirling, not because I am a green thumb - but for their family friendly cafe, the Blue Lotus Cafe.



What makes it good, is that as well as offering good coffee and nice food, I also feel really comfortable bringing my baby along. Click here to read the breakfast and lunch menu.



There is plenty of space, meaning the tables inside and out aren't squished together, and I can get my pram in, out and in between easily.

That space also comes in handy when putting bub into a highchair, of which there are plenty.

The 'extras' section on the breakfast menu has also been a winner for us, offering corn on the cob, meaning mum and dad can eat in peace with bub content for some time working away at the corn.



With bub very much on the move these days, we also spend plenty of time in the gated playground.

The artificial turf surface is perfect for her to crawl around on and the equipment is the perfect size for her to start exploring.



Much of the alfresco area is on wooden decking and makes the most of the location, with tables and comfy outdoor couches looking across to a number of impressive water features.

We all need our easy escapes, even if it is just for a quick coffee... this place is one of mine.
