Below are some of the best music classes and programs in Perth, with contributions and suggestions by Perth Mums group members. Obviously the list doesn't include all the great programs in Perth, but this is a great place to start. Remember to always do your own research and make sure the venue meets your personal needs.
The Perth Mums Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Perth mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!

Lessons are available for kids aged 18 months and over. Along with musical knowledge, kids also learn to socialise with their peers, develop their fine and gross motor skills, and enjoy sharing a love of music with their parents. The program aims to develop the fundamentals of music, such as rhythm, pitch and aural skills, and also teach some basic theory knowledge.

Skills taught include piano, reading music, aural skills, understanding theory, chords, improvising and composing, plus memory skills and performing in concerts. Classes are available for all ages, including babies.

Pitter Patter Music Together classes for babies, newborns, toddlers and pre-schoolers help nurture your child's inner musician. Each weekly class offers a dozen songs and rhythmic rhymes including finger plays, small and large movement activities and instrument play.

"Choirs4kids runs 'Singing Joeys' and 'Singing Roos' sessions in Baldivis, Cockburn, Melville and Kingsley. Singing Joeys is for ages three to five and kids learn how to use their voices through experimentation and learning new songs. Singing Roos is for age six to 11 is a community kids choir.
