Ahhhh Scitech – who didn’t love running around Perth’s favourite museum on a school excursion or on the weekend? Scitech is the premier museum for children, and the exhibits, displays and galleries have been designed largely with their learning needs in mind, but there’s also an emphasis on making science fun! If you haven’t been since primary school, or just haven’t been since having children, here’s 10 reasons to love Scitech.

It is an exciting, stimulating place of discovery aimed specifically at children aged 2 to 5 years and features various themes with interactive, hands on activities and interactive shows. The next Toddlerfest takes place from 10 – 25 February and you can read more here.
Got a playgroup or mums group and need places to go? Scitech welcomes you! Playgroups and mothers’ group bookings are available for $6.50 per person, with a minimum spend of $97.50 required. This includes access to Scitech’s exhibition galleries, entry to Discoverland and a private, interactive puppet show. This offer is only available during the school term, and bookings are essential. Children under 4 years are free entry.
3….Or they can come to you!
Scitech can bring the science to your playgroup or out of hours school care – they can even visit libraries, shopping centres, and community events!
They will bring their unique mobile program designed to encourage adults and young children to play, explore and discover together. The program is designed for children up to kindergarten age, who will be shown how to use their senses to understand the world around them and learn how they are discovering science every day in a safe and interactive environment.
