Make your shopping trips fun with these school holiday activities at Perth's major shopping centres!

Have you starting thinking about the April school holidays yet? If getting away from Perth is not on your radar, there's usually something fun happening at the city's major shopping centres during the holidays, and most activities are free! If you need to start planning how to keep the kids entertained for two weeks, here are a number of school holiday activities happening at Perth's biggest shopping centres.

Rockingham Shopping Centre

The centre will host Free Kids Music Workshops between Monday, 16 April and Sunday, 22 April from 11am and 2pm.
Come and try a variety of musical instruments including guitar, piano and drums, or play in a band!
All ages are welcome – located at the Pop Up Kids Zone.

Join in Peter Rabbit’s Garden Trail and get free stuff!
Collect a free Garden Trail map from the Customer Service Desk and solve the clues to receive a kids’ Ace Cinema movie ticket for FREE!

Gateway to Space is an intergalactic school holiday program.
Events held on Monday, 16 April to Saturday, 28 April (except Anzac Day, when the centre will be closed.)
The program will feature a huge array of events including acrobatic performances by Circus and entertainer Michael Speranza.
The kids can make their own Thunderbirds spaceship to take home between 11am and 2pm (outside Big W.)
View a number of cosmic photographs by the WA community, including lunar and solar eclipses, astro-landscapes and deep space images.
Come and join in Stargazing Telescopic Nights on Thursday, 19 and 26 April from 6:30pm, located in front of Lone Star Rib House.

Sail into Shipwreck Cove these school holidays and explore the dark and mysterious world of pirates and shipwrecks from WA.
Monday, 16 April to Sunday, 29 April between 11am and 3pm daily, located outside JB Hifi (except Anzac Day on Wednesday, 25 April, when the centre is closed.)
Hop aboard the inflatable museum then visit the activity area – create your very own treasure chest and find some treasure to take home!
Discover objects from the shipwrecks and learn about WA’s rich marine history.

There is lots happening at the Enchanted Forest!
Monday, 16 April to Sunday, 22 April and located at the Promotions Court near Woolworths.
Take part in the ‘Voices of the Forest Interactive Workshops’ which will run daily at 10am and 3pm and 11:30am and 3pm on Sunday – recommended for children aged 5 to 12 years.
Try your hand at the Make-Up Motif Workshop daily at 1:30pm – for children aged 1- to 14 years.
Other activities include forest face painting, colouring-in and the Footsepts of the Forest activity sheet.

Have fun at the Play-Doh Immersive Zone every day from Saturday, 14 to Saturday, 28 April between 11am and 2pm.
Have fun on the Play-Doh Tub and Slide, play against others in the Challenge Zone, or create anything you can imagine.
Recommended for ages 2 to 12 years, and bookings are not required.

Karrinyup Shopping Centre
PJ Masks are coming to Karrinyup!
Sing and dance along with this crime-fighting trio at they perform stage shows daily from Saturday, 14 April to Sunday, 22 April, and come along for a meet and greet!
Stage shows will be held at 9:30am and 11:30am (11:30am 1:30pm on Sundays.)
Meet and Greets will be held at 10:30am (12:30pm on Sundays.)
There are limited spots available for the meet and greets, so get in early!

A cheeky little pig is coming to visit Whitford City for the Peppa Pig Stage Shows!
Shows run Wednesday, 18 April to Sunday, 22 April at 11am, 12pm and 1pm at the Dining Hub Stage.
