Rugby is one of the most popular sports across Australia's east coast, but there are also plenty of places to play rugby league and union throughout Perth. If your child would like to join a team and make new friends, keep active and learn the sport, there is likely to be a club and program near you.

Rugby Roos

RugbyRoos is a 5-week program for children aged 5-12 years. It features non-contact coaching, delivers by professional rugby players and RugbyWA development officers. During the 5-week term, children will be introduced to rugby in a fun, social setting, allowing families to get familiar with their local rugby club. Children will also receive a free participant pack upon enrolment.

RugbyWA

WHERE: Clubs located throughout Perth

RugbyWA is the peak body for Rugby Union clubs in WA. Through their Juniors Competition, children aged from 5 years old can take part in union games throughout Perth. There are three leagues operating - Central, North and South, so there’s bound to be a club near you. Children will learn the foundations of the sport, learn new skills and make friends, all while having fun and keeping active.

Prefer rugby league? There are heaps of clubs throughout Perth that have a junior league for kids aged 5 and over. Along with the junior league, you can also find League Stars, an after-school program for boys and girls, and school holiday camps. You can find a club at the link above.



Sense Rugby

Sense Rugby is a rugby based Occupational Therapy program designed to help kids find enjoyment and success in sport. It is suitable for ages 4 and over and is located at Cockburn and Harrisdale.
