If your child is always singing along to pop music, they probably belong at Rockit Kids, where they can learn all the cool tunes and fresh moves - so they can learn to sing and dance like their favourite pop stars!
Based at Estudio Nuevo on the Maylands Cafe Strip, performer and vocal teacher Chloe King and her team run classes during term time and drop in holiday workshops for boys and girls aged 4-12 years.
Book now for Term 4 which starts on Friday October 14th 2016 (8 week term)
While having fun and making new friends, Rockit Kids are also learning performing arts skills and teamwork, increasing confidence, and burning lots of energy!
“Sharing my love for music and performing is so rewarding,” says Chloe. “I’m passionate about making singing and dancing fun and accessible to all. There are no expensive costumes and no parent volunteer time. All Rockit Kids need is a love of music, lots of energy and a desire to learn and have fun!”
“I get to teach the next generation how inspiring pop music can be! I pick age-appropriate pop songs with great motivational messages, like Jessie J’s Price Tag and Katie Perry’s Roar and even classics like Bill Withers’ Lean on Me. We talk about the meaning of the songs – so Rockit Kids are also learning to connect emotionally with what they are singing, and at the end of every term Rockit Kids have a ‘showcase’ for the parents.”
Music is powerful, with many beneficial effects on the brain – linguistic, rhythmic and memory skills are increased, endorphins produced and stress reduced. To combine group singing with dance is a top to toe work out for the brain and body in the most fun and sociable way possible.
Holiday Workshops will be starting again in the Christmas holidays with some very special news to be announced!
Individual voice lessons and birthday party bookings also available.
This production of The Jungle Book relies strongly on physical theatre, from a young ensemble, and will incorporate puppetry, poetry, and animation, creating an eclectic style of theatre true to itself.
