Plenty of nature play at this southern suburbs park.
While I don’t live close to the southern suburb of Baldivis, I do make an effort to take my children to one of the excellent parks located there when we do visit.
On our most recent visit to Baldivis, my young children and I visited Rivergums Adventure Park. Located in the Rivergums estate, the playground has some fantastic features and is great for nature play.
Rivergums Adventure Park is located on Rivergums Boulevard in Baldivis, just a five minute drive from the busy shopping hub of Stockland Baldivis.
The first thing we noticed is the dinosaur footprints leading into the park, which is a pretty cool touch.
The kids can explore the rock, timber and rope based play areas, or have a go at making music.
There are two large towers, which were a bit too challenging for my four year old. Adventurous preschoolers and primary school aged kids will love climbing the rope structure, up to the top platforms.
There are two towers, linked by an overhead, enclosed rope bridge.
Once at the top, the kids can clamber over the bridge and have fun whizzing down the slide.
The playground has a tripod swing, log steps and various nature play areas.
There is limited undercover shelter, but that is not surprising as it is a relatively small park. There is a water fountain, but no toilets.
As noted, Rivergums Adventure Park is a five minute drive from Stockland Baldivis, where there are plenty of places to eat and drink, plus drive through services if that is easier than getting the kids in and out of the car.
If you are visiting Baldivis, pop in for a play, get a bit grubby and see if your kids can tackle the awesome climbing towers.
