Some children need help with confidence and public speaking, and these classes designed to assist.

Not all children are born with self-confidence, and sometimes might need a little help. If your child is struggling with confidence, self-esteem or public speaking, they might benefit from a class or workshop that deals specifically in overcoming confidence issues or public speaking. Perth Mums Group has found some below to help your child on their journey to self-confidence.

Standing Strong

Standing Strong was founded to help children learn how to improve their confidence and self-esteem, build inner-strength and self-belief, grow friendships, improve their health and body-image, manage stress and gain the tools essential for living happy, healthy and inspired lives. Programs help to encourage, motivate, uplift and empower children and teens to live happy, healthy and inspired lives. Programs are non-clinical and take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

They offer four signature program for children aged 5-17yrs:


Plus, Standing Strong offers One to One Mentoring Sessions and Wellness Workshops. Workshops run during school term time.



Confident Kids

Confident Kids is an organisation offering confidence, public speaking and art classes for kids aged 7 - 15 years. Through weekly workshops, children will learn powerful life skills that will help them build confidence and resilience, helping them develop into emotionally healthy teens and adults.

Classes feature mindfulness, emotions, mediation, breathing and gratitude, plus self-empowerment, body-brain feedback loop and nonverbal behaviour.

Rise and Shine Debating

WHERE: Perth, and can conduct in-class and in-house programs

Rise & Shine Debating (formerly Gozone Debating) offers classes outside of school hours, along with tailored in-class debating programs, in-house and interschool debate events and adjudication within Perth. Classes are fun and practical and are designed to challenge advanced debaters, while introducing beginner debaters to the foundations of public speaking and beyond.

Rise & Shine also offers professional learning opportunities for teachers and coaches in Perth and regional areas, as well as consultancy and debating resources Australia-wide. 



Yellow Lantern

WHERE: Throughout Australia and online

Lantern League is a global network of public speaking clubs for kids ages 8 - 16 years old that operates in Australia and online. During classes, children are coached to overcome perfectionism, powerfully build their voice and radically accept themselves for who they are. Clubs are non-competitive, and rather emphasis positivity, active listening and speaking with personality.

School of Charm

The School of Charm is combines the finishing schools of yesteryear with a solid building of self-esteem and knowledge in young ladies and gentlemen, helping them to blossom, mix and mingle into today’s society. School of Charm mixes modelling classes with trimmings of health and beauty, performance, public speaking, posture and positive interaction with peers.

Classes are run throughout school term, and are suitable for ages 3-16 years.
