Do your kids want to play AFL in Perth? Read on for more information.

If your child is mad about Australian Rules Football (AFL), you can enrol them in a program from as young as 2 years, with opportunities to move up through the various age levels. Here are the various programs run in Perth and Western Australia.

Footy Fundamentals
Locations: Alkimos, Dianella, Claremont, Warwick, North Fremantle, Joondalup

  • Footy Fundamentals is the AFL program for children aged 2 and over.
  • Toddler Kickers for ages 2 to 3 years
  • Mini Kickers for kids aged 3 to 4 years
  • Kindy Kickers for kids aged 4 to 5 years
  • They also run a school program

    NAB AFL Auskick
    Locations: All over WA - find a club here

  • Auskick is a non-contact football program available for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years.
  • Kids learn fundamental motor skills and what it means to play as part of a team, whilst teaching them the basics of Australian Football.
  • Kids will receive an Auskick pack when signing up.

    Star Kick
    Locations: Coolbinia, Joondalup, East Fremantle, North Mandurah and Quinns Rock.

  • Starkick is an all-abilities AFL program for children aged 5 to 14 years.
  • Starkick aims to cater for children who may need a bit of extra support to achieve their goals.
  • Clubs offering Starkick are Coolbinia Bombers JFC , Joondalup Jets JFC , East Fremantle Power JFC , Quinns Bulls JFC and North Mandurah Magpies JFC .

  • Rising Stars WA
    Locations: Hillarys, Bull Creek, Secret Harbour and Guildford

  • Has programs for boys and girls aged 7 to 14 years.
  • Programs are run after school and on weekends during February and March.
  • Also runs football camps during the school holidays.

    Junior Football
    Locations: All over WA

  • A limited-contact, AFL program for boys and girls aged 8 to 13 years.
  • Junior Football is the next step for kids who are ready to move on from NAB AFL Auskick or other introductory school and/or community programs.
  • Juniors will have fun learning through play, plus make new friends.
  • Matches are modified so children can continue to develop their skills in an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. 
  • Once children turn 13, they can move onto the Youth Football program .

  • Ready Steady Go Kids for children aged 18 months to 6 years
  • Jungle Sports for children aged 18 months to 6 years
  • Kidz ’n Sport
