Pizza Bella Roma has been a favourite restaurant of mine for years. It is right in the middle of Fremantle’s Cappuccino Strip and is just a short walk from the Fremantle Markets and the Fremantle Jail. Pizza Bella Roma is one of the oldest restaurants in Fremantle. It was opened in 1972 by an Italian couple, as a small pizza place with only ten tables and a handful of staff members.

The restaurant has grown a lot since then. It now has a capacity of 400 seats and has become a popular spot for locals and tourists. Pizza Bella Roma is well known for its chilli mussels, gourmet pizzas, and seafood and pasta dishes.



Pizza Bella Roma is a good place to eat out with friends. It can be fun to get a couple of pizzas to share amongst a group. You can choose from three different sizes: small, large, and family. The pizzas come out on raised trays that can be put in the middle of the table.



When we went last weekend we got the Bella Roma pizza which has ham, bacon, hot salami, capsicum, onion, tomato, mushrooms and olives on it. It was a really great combination of flavours. I really liked the large bacon slices. They had just the right amount of crisp to them and went well with the mushrooms.

A main costs between $20 and $30 and starters and sides and salads range from $9 to $26. There is a kids menu that starts at $6.50 and goes up to $14 dollars. My two-year-old liked the plain spaghetti with a little bit of grated cheese on top.

Pizza Bella Roma is available for children’s birthday parties. They run a pizza making class for children which includes all of the ingredients, games and activities, ice cream, water or juice, and a certificate to take home at the end of the class.

A staff member will supervise and instruct the children how to make their pizza and the kids will be free to choose their own toppings. The workshop costs $18 per child and is held Monday to Thursday between 9.30am and 2pm. Bookings are essential. Click here to find out more.
