Pirate Day at East Fremantle Yacht Club

East Fremantle Yacht Club will be under attack by pirates on Sunday, January 7 with Dutch replica sailing ship, The Duyfken, moored at the yacht club. But one suspects there'll be a good deal more fun in the battles at East Fremantle than those in which the original Duyfken took part in 400 years ago in the Dutch East Indies.

People are encouraged to dress up in their pirate best for the free family day of pirate fun from 10am to 2pm. Visitors can go aboard the Duyfken replica for a short tour to get a taste of what life was like aboard a spice ship on the waters off Indonesia four centuries ago.
