’Tis the season to be jolly, so get along to these fantastic Christmas events happening around Perth.
The lead up to Christmas is always such a busy time, with shopping to do, friends and family to catch up with and work functions. And then of course, there’s plenty of Christmas events happening in Perth that you won’t want to miss! With Santa meet and greets, carols, carnivals, local fairs and so much more, Perth has a huge number of family friendly Christmas events happening in November and December, and we have found some of the best!

PERTH CBD/SURROUNDS/WESTERN SUBURBS
Santa’s Christmas Carnival at Claremont Showground
Time and date: Sunday, 6th December 10am-4:30pm
Location: Claremont Showground, Graylands Road, Claremont
Cost: Tickets $35, which includes unlimited rides and entertainment, children under 3 are free with a paying adult

Claremont Showground will transform into the ULTIMATE Christmas event on Sunday, 6th December!
This is Western Australia’s biggest and best Christmas celebration filled with loads of exciting rides, activities and entertainment for ALL ages! One entry fee and you ride for FREE!
All eyes to the sky, Santa’s arrival in to the main arena at 11am will be a spectacular one!
Entry includes unlimited access to thrill rides, kids rides, live entertainment and stage shows, extreme motocross stunt shows, face painting, animal farms, roving entertainers, Perth biggest splash-tacular water playground, dinosaur park and so much more.
2020 Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant
Time and date: Saturday, 12th December at 7:30pm
Location: Langley Park, Perth

The 2020 Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant will be held at Langley Park and ticket registration will open next week, so be quick! Keep an eye on the website for details.
Christmas Lights Trail, Perth CBD
Time and date: From Friday, 20th November 2020 to 3rd January 2021, 6pm-11pm
Location: Across the city, Claisebrook and West Perth

One of Perth’s favourite Christmas traditions is back!
This specular Christmas light festival will feature a total of 30 stops this year, over four journeys across the CBD, Northbridge, East End or West End areas - or, forge your own festive journey!
These dazzling light displays, enchanting building projections and joyful street decorations will be accompanied by roving entertainment every Friday and Saturday night and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays!
Twilight at Yagan Square - Christmas Edition
Time and date: Friday, 13th November at 4pm-9pm
Location: Yagan Square, Perth

With over 80 of the best WA makers in attendance, this is a Christmas market with a difference.
Featuring delicious food, FREE face painting and glitter tattoos, this is an opportunity to see the best that WA has to offer all in one central location in the Perth CBD.
There will also be a very special visit from Santa!
Mount Lawley Christmas Festival
Time and date: Sunday, 29th November at 12pm-8pm
Location: St Patrick’s Mount Lawley, corner of First Avenue and Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley

Christmas Festival in Stadium Park
Time and date: Sunday 6th, 13th and 20th December from 4pm-8:30pm
Location: Optus Stadium, 333 Victoria Park Drive, Burswood

Held over the first three Sundays in December, this Christmas Festival at Stadium Park will include free Christmas movies, a licensed area to have a drink and enjoy the Stadium's Christmas lights.
There will also be and markets galore, food trucks and live music!
Plus, keep the kids entertained with roving entertainers, and you might even get the chance to grab an ‘elfie’ with a very special man in red!
NORTHERN SUBURBS
The Magic of Christmas 2020 at Wanneroo Botanic Gardens
Time and date: Starts Wednesday, 25th November and runs throughout the festive season (not including Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
Location: Wanneroo Botanic Gardens, 25 Drovers Place, Wanneroo
Cost: Spectator admission to the Gardens is just $5 or FREE for Guests dinning in the restaurant, playing Mini Golf and for children 0-3yrs

Bring the family along to one of Perth’s favourite mini golf courses for the Magic of Christmas!
Play Mini Golf, dine at Leapfrogs or basque in the glow of the 7m high Christmas tree and the brand new light features added this year!

Christmas in Elfenbrook 2020
Time and date: Saturday, 12th December at 2pm-8pm
Location: Ellenbrook and surrounds

The annual Ellenbrook and surrounds Christmas festival and pageant returns for 2020!
This free family event features live stage performances, arts and culture, displays, demonstrations, workshops, community information stalls, conservation corner, environmental expo and market stalls.
There will also be rides, attractions, local eateries and gourmet food providers and so much more.
SOUTHERN SUBURBS
Christmas on the Green, City of Cockburn
Time and date: Saturday, 5th December at 4:30pm - 8pm
Location: Legacy Park, Veterans Parade, Cockburn Central.
Cost: Free, but registration to attend the workshops will be required

Christmas on the Green is a FREE event for whole family, brought to you by the City of Cockburn!
This year you can get crafty in the Makers Workshop where you can make gifts for your friends and family. These workshops are free but registrations are essential, and children must attend with an adult.
Along with the workshops, other activities include Santas Grotto, live performance by Lakelands Senior High School Band, mould painting, face painters, South Coogee Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade demos, sandcards, camel rides and so much more!
Christmas Light Cruises, Mandurah
Time and date: From Tuesday, 1st December and running throughout
Location: Mandurah
Cost: Adults $35, children aged 3-12 $25, children 3 and under FREE
