'Tis the season to be jolly, so get along to these fantastic Christmas events happening around Perth.

The lead up to Christmas is always such a busy time, but you still have to keep the kids entertained somehow! Perth has a huge number of family friendly Christmas events happening in November and December, and we have found some of the best!

Remember to always check the website before you go, just in case the details have changed.

FREE Christmas Festival at Stadium Park at Optus Stadium

Where can you shop for festive gifts, watch FREE Christmas movies in the fresh air and have a photo with Santa? Optus Stadium’s FREE Christmas Festival at Stadium Park is the place to go! On selected Sundays in November and December, you can browse the markets, see classic Christmas movies and meet Santa.



When: Sunday November 24th, December 1st, December 8th and December 22nd from 4pm – 8:30pm
Where: Stadium Park, Optus Stadium, Burswood

Santa’s Enchanted Wardrobe

One of Perth’s favourite immersive Christmas experiences is back! Inspired by the wonderful world of Narnia, Santa’s Enchanted Wardrobe is an annual Christmas spectacular for the whole family. On selected days in December, you can step into scenes from the classic story of Narnia, including the Enchanted Wardrobe, the deep forests of Narnia, and meet Santa and the elves!



When: Selected dates from November 30 to December 24
Where: Claremont Showgrounds, Graylands Road, Claremont
Ages: All ages

Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant 2019

The Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant is one of the most popular events in the festive calendar and will take place on Saturday, 7th December from 7:30pm. This annual parade starts at St Georges Terrace, Perth and will feature a colourful array of floats featuring favourite Christmas characters.

Christmas Lights Cruises

There is nothing quite like a cruise down Mandurah’s waterways in the lead up to Christmas. From Sunday, 1st December, you can take a Christmas Lights Cruise and see all the delights of the Mandurah Canals Christmas Lights Displays. See millions of Christmas lights, spectacular displays adorned with Christmas trees, Santa, snowmen, reindeers and plenty of Aussie touches along the way!

Bazaar 2019 at Fremantle Arts Centre

Bazaar is well and truly entrenched into Fremantle’s Christmas calendar! Now in its 40th year, this event stocks only the finest local products and features more than 50 stalls. Bazaar 2019 will be bursting with jewellery, clothing, ceramics, woodwork, textiles, sculpture, art and so much more. This is a special shopping experience where you can also enjoy entertainment, food and drink and much more.



When: Friday, 6th December to Sunday, 8th December

Santa’s Christmas Carnival

Santa’s Christmas Carnival is one of the state’s biggest festive celebrations and features a HUGE line-up of rides, interactive Christmas activities and live entertainment. Bring the kids along to enjoy unlimited rides and entertainment all day, all included in your entry ticket. Santa will make his spectacular entrance into the event at 10:50am….keep your eyes on the sky!



When: Sunday, 8th December from 10:30am to 4:30pm

Christmas Pool Party at HBF Arena

HBF Arena’s family friendly pool party is taking over the Aquatic Centre and outdoor gardens! There will be a huge array of fun activities for the kids including a 32 metre waterslide, floating inflatable indoor obstacle course, outdoor water balloon tournament, aqua volleyball, dry inflatable obstacle course, ‘bombie’ competitions and games, blow up water toy, surprise giveaways and prizes. Don’t miss it!

Carols by Candlelight and Christmas Parade

Armadale’s annual Christmas parade takes place along Jull Street and features a variety of colourful characters and performances by local community groups. Follow the parade through to Memorial Park, where Father Christmas will share some special words of wisdom with the children in the lead up to Christmas.

Following the parade, collect a songbook and LED candles to join in the musical spectacular with performances by local schools and community choirs, supported with live music provided by the highly acclaimed and award winning Armadale City Concert Band.



When: Friday, 6th December from 6pm – 8:30pm
Where: Parade starts at Jull Street Mall, carols at Memorial Park, Orchard Avenue, Armadale

Araluen Candles by Torchlight

Araluen's Amphitheatre will light up with skits, songs, carols and an appearance from Santa and his elves. There will be food and coffee available, and visitors are welcome to have a wander around the park before the event.



When: Doors open 4:30pm on Sunday, 15th December
