The Perth Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Perth mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
As mentioned, the playground is gated, so it's nice to know the littlies can't go too far. At the centre of the playground is a shaded picnic area with barbecues, plus there are various shady spots to sit. Even if the playground does get busy, it is surrounded by lush green lawns so there are plenty of spots to park yourself for a picnic.
The play equipment includes musical play and sensory play, plus play equipment. There is a tripod swing, climbing frame and my daughters favourite - the double slide.
The slide is accessed by a long boardwalk and my little girl was thrilled when mummy joined her on the slide for a race. Then she insisted we go again. Then again. And again.
There are log steps and planks to walk across and even a water play area, which would be a lot of fun in summer but it was a bit cold for us on a late May morning. There's also a little digger in the sandpit, plus a mini spinning cup.
Outside the playground are more picnic tables and a basketball hoop. The playground is open from the early hours to dusk.
There are no toilets within a short walk, with the nearest being at PMH, which is a 5-10 minute walk away. If you walk up Coghlan Road in Subiaco, you will get to Hay Street, which has a heap of coffee shops and places to eat. There are lots of roadworks happening in the area however, so you may have to take a quick detour.
Mueller Park is the perfect playground for your favourite little people. It's got all they need for a couple of hours play in a safe, gated environment.
