Based on the book by Margaret Wild & Kerry Argent
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre make a triumphant return to the stage this Autumn with their critically acclaimed production of Miss Lily's Fabulous Feather Boa. Tickets are now on sale for this strictly limited season.
Miss Lily's Fabulous Feather Boa is based on the much-loved children's book of the same name by Margaret Wild and illustrator Kerry Argent.
Wrap a feather boa around your shoulders and bring the family to Spare Parts Puppet Theatre these autumn school holidays and meet the unforgettable Miss Lily, a boisterous, tango-dancing crocodile who runs the local holiday house.
Adapted for the stage by director Michael Barlow, Miss Lily's Fabulous Feather Boa is an uplifting story of bravery with an intriguing and amusing ethical dilemma: 'is it ok to steal something fabulous because it makes you feel good?'
The guests at Miss Lily's Tropical Holiday House enjoy relaxing days and cheerful company - and no one needs it more than the lonely Last Potoroo.
When Miss Lily takes to the stage with her fabulous feather boa, the timid Potoroo is filled with the feeling that she could do anything - if only the feather boa could be hers. Soon a plan is set in motion with very unexpected consequences.
Rambunctious families of koalas and wombats share the stage with the Potoroo and a dancing crocodile of incomparable glamour in this uplifting story that celebrates kindness, courage and a little marsupial pride!
Playing at the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre for a strictly limited season from 3 to 17 April 2021, this wonderfully engaging family production presents a fun-filled celebration of the human spirit in a compelling story that gets to the core of ethics.
From the magic of dancing feather boas to developing the courage to own up to your mistakes, this is a heart-warming tale about trust, fear, acceptance, kindness and confidence that will inspire conversations long after you leave the theatre.
The production showcases acclaimed Spare Parts performers Cezera Critti-Schnaars, Ming Yang Lim and Tristan McInnes. It also welcomes back leading Spare Parts artists Lee Buddle (musical score), Iona McAuley (designer), and Karen Cook (lighting design).
