Giant playground? Check. Dedicated birthday party rooms? Check. Café for parents? Check. Swinging pirate ship? Check. Wait – what? Yep – Lollipops Playland and Cafe in Jandakot boasts a fully operational, swinging pirate ship for kids – and parents! Running every hour, kids seem to come out of nowhere to take their turn, and it’s a great attraction for children and parents to enjoy together.





Now in it’s 20th year of operation, Lollipops has been around for a while and it's still as popular as ever – the kids have a great time and parents can kick back for a coffee and a chat.



The multi-level playground is impressive, with so many twists and turns and tunnels to navigate. Catering for children aged four to ten, just make sure you don’t lose them in this giant maze. They will find their way out via the slides eventually.





For the younger kids, there’s a dedicated area for children aged three and under with plenty of activities and things to climb on, all with the added assurance of padded floors and surfaces for clumsy toddlers still fine-tuning those co-ordination skills. There are steps to climb up and over, slides and padded see-saws, along with a small ball pit that toddlers just seem fascinated with.



You’ll also find a pretty impressive bouncing castle with steps and a slide. If all this is still not enough for the kids to do, there’s also arcade style games to play.



The café area is huge, with plenty of space for prams and baby and toddler accessories. There are heaps of itables and chairs and high chairs, so even in peak times it’s usually pretty easy to get a table.

The café itself sells hot and cold drinks, small meals and snacks for adults and kids. Entry for parents is $3.50 but this includes a free soft drink, water or hot drink for mums and dads.



If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a child’s birthday party, Lollipops in Jandakot have two dedicated party rooms for hire, meaning they can take care of all the organising without the mess to clean up after. They offer party catering, including party platters. There are different party options to suit every budget, along with healthy menu options.

Entry costs vary for school days, weekends and school holidays. Junior entry for ages one to three is $8.90 on school days and $10.90 on weekends and school holidays, while kids aged four and over cost $10.90 to enter on school days and $12.90 on weekends and school holidays.



Lollipops Playland and Café in Jandakot is a play centre that’s a little bit different from the rest. If you need somewhere to take the kids while you have a bit of a break, head to Lollipops and sit back as they ride the pirate ship over and over.
