Playcentres are fantastic options for toddlers and young children when the weather isnít great. After a few days of being indoors, my boys come down with a severe case of cabin fever.
Having twin toddlers running in different directions at massive play-centres can often leave me feeling as exhausted, but today I decided to check out the Little Champs Playhouse located within the Stock Road Markets in Cockburn.
As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by the sounds of The Wiggles and a lovely staff member who helped me in, and explained how the centre works. Although not huge, Little Champs is full of new toys. As soon as my two saw them, they couldnít contain their excitement.

Everything is totally safe, the high obstacles are padded, and there is a massive variety: from kitchens for imaginative play, to big slides and tunnels, ballpits, cars, baby dolls, books and pretty much everything else you can think of.
It costs $7 per child, but she only charged me for one because I had twins. You can order a coffee or a light snack and sit back as your toddler has a fantastic time. Itís aimed for 0-5 year olds, with a cordoned off section for messy and sensory play.
There are change table facilities and plenty of high chairs for when the young ones work their appetite up. There is a strict Ďno outside foodí policy, however everything in the cafť is kid-friendly and very cheap. Everything was in top shape, nothing was broken and all the toys were super clean.
Little Champs offers private birthday party packages including decorations for up to 20 children, which often books the place out on Saturdays. They also have frequent visit cards, information which can be found on their website.
The Perth Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Perth mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
My tough critics left Little Champs Playhouse happy and exhausted and I will definitely be taking them there again. I didnít have to stress or chase them at all, because I knew they were totally safe and enjoying themselves. The best part was that I could enjoy a long, uninterrupted coffee, which is always a bonus.
Please note: if you decide to check Little Champs out, there is hardly any pram parking space inside, especially not for a double pram. If you can, leave it in the car.
