It’s that time of year again…school holidays! If you are always scrambling to find things to do to keep the kids entertained for two weeks, Perth has an abundance of holiday programs and workshops to keep them active during the winter break. Here are some of the top programs for school kids in Perth these July school holidays.



University of WA Kids Holiday Program

Multi-sport day camps for children aged 4 to 12 years.
Activities are held Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm during both weeks of the holidays and sports are rotated during the day.
There’s a sport for every taste, including archery, AFL, badminton, netball, dodgeball, judo, rugby, cricket, Zumba…even Frisbee!

Activities focus on participation and fun and are an excellent way to introduce children to new sports.
Programs are run by an experienced team of trained, enthusiastic and friendly leaders, all with first aid qualifications and a working with children check.
The UWA Kids Sports Holiday Program is a registered child care program and parents/guardians are eligible for the Child Care Benefit (CCB).

CirQuest School Holiday Program is suitable for children aged between 2 and 15 years.
Your child will discover things they never thought they could do!
Learn acrobatics, trapeze, trampoline, juggling, silks, hula hoops, spinning plates, rope climbing, stilts, diabolo, unicycle, flower sticks, poi and staff twirling, and so much more.
Morning sessions available for children aged 2-4 years and 4-7 year olds, then afternoon sessions for children aged 7-10 and 10-15 years, with four sessions each week of the holidays.

KIN Village Holiday Sessions are guided by Educated by Nature and focus on all things natural!
Sessions are suitable for children aged 6-12 years.
Drop and leave program, with children required to bring their own lunch.
These holidays, the theme is fire and rain – learn how to build, light and tend to fire safely and with support.
Activities include hut building, carpentry, community games, art and music.

Nature School – Wild Movement Perth

Wild Movement Perth’s aim is to recreate the natural environment and conditions children lived in throughout the evolution of Homo Sapiens.
The Nature School is based in Gnangara and during the holidays, workshops will run from 10am to 2pm on Mondays and Fridays.
Activities are based on Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Movement, with children given the opportunity to learn practical skills such as how to make a waterproof drink container, build a shelter and learn natural movement.
Currently, one parent or guardian is required to stay for the duration of the activities.

Musical Theatre School Holiday Workshops , Perth Academy of Performing Arts

An intensive, five-day Musical Theatre workshop for children aged between 8-16 years.
Join other drama-loving children from across Perth in activities designed to improve acting skills through fun group work.
Work together on large ensemble numbers and some smaller group, duo and trio pieces from some of your favourite musicals like Matilda, Wicked, The Lion King and Les Miserables!
At the end of the week, participants will show off what they’ve learned in a special concert for an audience of invited guests.
