I'm planning a trip to Thailand next month with my 1 yr old son. his dad has had minimal contact with us and even lives in another country. I've heard that when travelling to some countries without both parents, the travelling parents need a letter of permission from the non-travelling parent. has anyone travelled to Thailand recently without their child's father and needed a letter or any other documents?
I could reach his dad to ask for a letter but he has been very emotionally and mentally abusive in the past and it's extremely stressful for me to deal with him. I'd prefer to avoid it if possible.
