It's a lemon!

We just bought a car from a car yard yesterday, which turned out to be a lemon. While driving on the way home,the back bumper started to come off at 100kms, back plate number missing 1 screw. And at night there is a rattling sound on the engine which was not there when we took it for a test drive.

They offered us to book the 1 day old car for next week for a check up but we don't actually need this kind of set up as we bought it as a work car to drive from point a to point b.

My question is
Has anyone encountered this and what did you do? Can we take the car back to the car yard and get a refund as we needed the car for work everyday. The car was advertised for $6999 but paid $4500 for it.
