Is your child 5 years or younger? Does your child have difficulties with speech and language?
Are you the parent or caregiver of a child who has started seeing a speech pathologist or is considering seeking help from a speech pathologist?
My name is Josephine Ripepi. I am a speech pathology honours student at Curtin University. As part of my degree, I am conducting a research project with two research supervisors, Associate Professor Leitão and Dr Wylie. In this project, we are interested in understanding how parents/caregivers of children who are late talkers, use, access, and value publicly available information to:
(a) support their child and
(b) help them find the services they need.
We hope that this research will help speech pathologists plan how to provide information that parents need and improve awareness of how to find and access services.
We hope to talk to parents and caregivers of children aged 0-5 years who have started seeing a speech pathologist within the past 12 months or are considering seeing a speech pathologist. Parents who wish to participate will complete a short survey and then, if they choose, can be interviewed.
A 15-minute online survey. At the end of the survey, you have the option to volunteer for a 30-minute interview in your own home, online, in a quiet place of your choosing, for example your local library, or in a quiet and confidential space at Curtin University.
Are you interested in participating in this study?
