I have an 5y.o. ASD boy and he has a lot to learn about communication and social skills. The one thing that really worried me is he doesn't understand or realise when he is getting bullied or being picked on by some nasty kids. I had witnessed myself kids calling his names; when I was there I would assist him by pulling him out of the situation or telling him that those kids not being very nice. I didn't stand up for my boy and yelled at those kids for different reasons. One I want my boy be able to learn how to handle the situation himself and second they were not my kids I have no interest to parenting them. Yesterday same thing happened again, a feral boy in his lesson poked him with a traffic cone; although the feral boy was stopped immediately by the assistant and didn't harm my boy physically. The father of the child was there witnessed everything and think his son action was acceptable and found it amused.
My son doesn't seem to understand he was in danger or bad situation. I don't know how to explain to him or tell him what to do when someone being mean to him.
What should i do about the feral father and son if the same thing happened again in future?
