Feeding babies, whether by breast or by bottle can often be uncomfortable, especially when you are out and about. As your child grows you are constantly seeking different positions to find comfort and ease for both yourself and the baby.

Perth mother of two, and Feeding Friend designer Amanda Rowe, discovered this the hard way, experiencing pain when feeding her babies.

Determined to help other parents and carers, she designed the Feeding Friend, a self-inflating pillow that was specially created as a nursing cushion for parents who are out and about.

What makes Feeding Friend unique is that it is incredibly light weight and compact, easily storing under the pram or in your nappy bag when not in use, and then inflating in less than 30 seconds thanks to the special inbuilt valve. You can choose how much to inflate the pillow, so it will work equally well for small and large babies, and women with different sized breasts.

Feeding Friend can be used by breastfeeding mothers or any carer who bottle feeds, making it a useful item to hand over to the babysitter.

Feeding Friend works to alleviate pain and soreness associated with holding a baby in sometimes awkward positions causing pain across the shoulders, neck, back, hands or wrists. By supporting your forearm, you can have your baby at the height that is correct for you with no pressure on your body.

Feeding Friend will celebrate its product launch at the Pregnancy, Babies and Children's Expo Perth 2016 at the Claremont Showgrounds Exhibition Centre July 29 to 31 this year. Not only will you be able to see the Feeding Friend in action , you will also be able to access exclusive offers, giveaways and limited edition covers.

Feeding Friend is also available to purchase online at a cost of $49.99 plus shipping, which includes a storage bag and removable cover.

“You deserve to feel comfortable and relax whilst enjoying the beauty of nourishing your precious little one.”
