Melbourne Cup is the race that stops the nation - except when you have young children to take care of!

The Melbourne Cup is known as the race that stops the nation and is a day for dressing up in your best frock and fascinator and sipping on bubbles. Now all you have to do is pick the winner. Too easy!

But when you have young children, nothing is easy! It’s hard enough to get out of the door, let alone find somewhere child-friendly to watch the race with the kids in tow. Thankfully, there are a few venues in Perth who will welcome children on Melbourne Cup day, and you can read more about these events below.

  • Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival and a two-course set lunch.

  • Adults $49, kids aged 2 to 12 years $25, kids under 2 years are free (unless they require a meal) and high chair hire is $5 or you can bring your own.

  • Tickets are $55 for adults and $20 for children aged 4 to 12 years. Kids 3 and under are free.
