Taking place on the Main Lawn at Cottesloe Civic Centre, this is a wonderful opportunity to view this brilliant Australian family film and enjoy an evening of food, drink and entertainment.
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on THIS Facebook post telling us who you would love to take to see Paper Planes at the Cottesloe Film Festival and why. The competition will run until 5pm on Thursday, 25 January 2018.
Paper Planes is an award-winning Australian drama directed by Robert Connolly and starring up and coming actor Ed Oxenbould, plus Australian household names Sam Worthington, Deborah Mailman and David Wenham.
The film tells the story of 12-year-old Dylan (Oxenbould), who lives with his father (Worthington), a recent widower who is inconsolable at the loss of his wife. Dylan finds a passion for creating and flying paper planes – a hobby that takes him all the way to the World Paper Plane Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Doors will open at 5.30pm, with entertainment and food starting at 6pm before the film starts at 7:30pm. You can also WIN some fantastic prizes in the paper plane competition, hosted by Swan River Ballet.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, the bar will be stocked with Forester Estate wines, Pirate Life beers and Aperol Spritz cocktails, as well as a section of soft drinks, juice and Carton Water. Bring a picnic or purchase dinner from one of the delicious food vans. EFTPOS will be available.
Along with enjoying a delightful family evening of fun, $2 from every adult ticket sold will go to Cottesloe Coastcare Association, meaning you’ll also be supporting a worthy cause.
