The Queen's Baton Relay is coming to the City of Swan on Monday 26th February and you're invited to give it a royal welcome!

The City of Swan leg of the Baton Relay will kick off at the Midland Town Hall and conclude with a big celebration in Stirling Square, with a packed route of fun and festivities in between.

Pick a prime viewing point or follow the Baton as it moves along. Cheer loud and proud for our wonderful baton bearers as the Relay makes its way towards the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. There will be plenty of free activities along the way to help create a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience for spectators.

Special events will be popping along the route including a mini fair at Woodbridge Riverside Park, student performances and raised river viewing at Governor Stirling SHS, live bands and dancing at Guildford Grammar and street station giveaways along Terrace Road and Meadow Street.

The finale of the day is a huge celebratory event in Stirling Square, which will feature a packed program of onstage entertainment including music from Australia's Got Talent's Jonny Taylor, Games Boy '18, the Combined Schools Choir, Zap Circus and Mickey J.

Offstage will be just as epic, with free rides and amusements, face painting, Swan Valley cooking demonstrations, fitness demonstrations and, of course, the grand entrance of the Queen's Baton as it makes its last appearance in Perth. A huge fireworks display will bring the evening to a sparking conclusion at 8.30pm.

Getting to the event is easy, with train stations within an easy walking distance of Stirling Square and other key locations and a free parking area at Guildford Grammar School and a free shuttle bus service to transport spectators to key areas.

When: Monday 26th February 2018

Where: Starts at Midland Town Hall, 312 Great Eastern Hwy, Midland 6056 and concludes at Stirling Square, Guildford 6055
