Secondly, it's super clean, fresh and modern, with new play equipment both in the toddler area and the big kids area. There are four sections to the centre floor – an area for kids over years, a toddler area, a baby area and a separate, fenced play area, which is also most suited to toddlers.
I had a chance to look through the ‘big kids’ section, because my little girl is only two and doesn’t bother with rules just yet. The structure is made of a three tier climbing frame with lots of steps, tunnels, slides and games dotted throughout the bottom level.
The toddler area is huge and has lots of things to keep the little ones entertained, such as a trampoline, an age appropriate multi-level climbing frame, a ball pit and slides, plus lots of soft play.
The area next to the toddler’s area has a heap of different toys – kids just love playing with toys that aren’t their own, so don’t be surprised if they don’t bother leaving this area.
Having the support and friendship of other mums who are living the same experience is important for the well-being of every mum. Here are 7 reasons to join a real-world mums group:
To the back of the centre is a large, inflatable racing slide for the older kids. Whatever space that isn’t taken up with play equipment is packed with tables and chairs, and you do have to move the furniture a bit to manoeuvre a pram around. When we visited it was super busy, so naturally all the tables closest to the toddler play equipment were taken.
Chipmunks can arrange birthday parties in one of their themed party rooms, including catering, and you can also hire the venue for private parties.
There is, of course, a café that serves a range of snacks and small meals, coffee, tea and cold drinks, plus a cabinet of cakes, fruit and yoghurt snacks for the kids.
The entry price per child aged 1 to 2 years is $10.90 and $13.90 for kids aged 3 to 11 years. On school days the price is $10.90 per child regardless of age.
If you need a rainy day activity to keep your toddlers and pre-schoolers entertained, Chipmunks Bibra Lakes is definitely a play centre to consider for its age appropriate equipment and modern look.
