Taking your kids shopping is a little easier when the centre is child-friendly!
Does the thought of grocery shopping or looking for a new outfit make you shudder? Sometimes, shopping with the kids just can’t be avoided.
There are, however, some shopping centres throughout Perth that are far more child friendly than others. I recently took a trip to Belmont Forum with my two toddlers and was impressed with the amenities for parents and kids at this family friendly retail destination. Just some of the features include a playground, school holiday activities and a cinema.
Children’s playground
Outside the newly redeveloped dining area is a little playground! While it’s no adventure playground, it certainly helps to break up the monotony of shopping for the kids. It has a fort-style, timber play structure, musical play and sensory play.
School holiday activities
The school holidays usually mean trips to the shops with the kids in tow. Belmont Forum is positivity school holiday friendly! They have themed school holiday activities that include arts and craft.
Kids Club
You can join up to the Belmont Forum Kids Club for free, and members will receive exclusive offers to events and offers at the centre. You can read more
here .
Great parent facilities
The centre has several parents rooms that have private feeding areas, change tables and a microwave for warming bottles and food.
Cinema on site
Belmont Forum is also home to Reading Cinemas Belmont! The cinema is another fantastic activity for school holidays and weekends, but they also offer
Spit the Dummy’ sessions for parents with young children. These sessions are run on Wednesday mornings during term time. You can see the latest movies with your preschoolers in tow - the sound is generally a bit quieter and the lighting dimmed. There is also space for prams.
