What makes a café child-friendly? A play area? Highchairs? Kids’ menu? Perth Mums Group has been on the hunt for the best child-friendly cafes in and around Perth, and now we’re having a look at the beautiful Perth hills. From the stunning Armadale foothills, to the peaceful surrounds of Mundaring and Kalamunda, here is where you will find child-friendly cafes and what facilities they offer, including children’s play area, change facilities and kids’ menus.

Mundaring and Kalamunda

Outdoor play area for the kids.

There is a chalkboard, log steps and even a couple of play tents.

Also offers a kids menu that includes a grazing plate, pancakes and a toastie.

Alternatively, all menu items can be served as half portions for half the price if the kids would prefer (or you are not very hungry!)

Masonmill Gardens has an amazing outdoor space for children up to 12 years, including a cubby house, slide and log steps.

Also have a kids’ menu with options for breakfast and lunch.

Armadale Foothills and surrounds

Wonderlust Café, Seville Grove - NOW CLOSED

Updated September 2018: Wonderlust Cafe has now ceased trading.

It's not quite in the hills (we will call it the bottom of the hill) but Wonderlust is a favourite of mine due to it’s child-friendliness.
