Westfield Carousel has some great family-friendly features when you need to go shopping with the kids.
I seriously dislike shopping with my children, but sometimes, it cannot be avoided. I’m forever grateful though, that Perth has some fantastic family-friendly shopping centres to make the task a little easier.
Having recently undergone an amazing redevelopment, Westfield Carousel now boasts a number of big-name fashion brands plus some fantastic features that make it great for parents.
The Perth Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Perth mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
School Holiday Activities
During school holidays, Westfield Carousel hosts a number of activities including workshops, arts, crafts and seasonal activities. Many activities are based on the latest movies, characters, books or current trends kids love.
If the kids won’t sit in a trolley but you have a bit of shopping to get done, you can hire a Kiddy Car! They are available for hire from the customer service desk, located near the food court entrance.
School’s back for 2020! That means the big kids are starting a brand new year, and the little kids get mum or dad all to themselves once again!
The rooftop playground is a new addition to Carousel. It is open during centre trading hours and all children are welcome. It is free, but children must be supervised while playing.
Strike Bowling Bar
Strike Bowling Bar has come to Perth! This ten-pin bowling venue is a fantastic option for your child’s next birthday party. Parties include a host, 1 game of bowling, party food and drinks, exclusive use of party room for 30 minutes and a gift for the birthday boy or girl.

Holey Moley is Perth’s newest mini golf venue. Kids are welcome at the venue until 8pm, after which it is strictly 18 only.
They also host kids parties, which includes 18 holes of golf, a reserved function area for 45 minutes, party food and drinks and party host.
Build-A-Bear Workshop is the spot for kids to make new friendships…literally. At Build-A-Bear, children are involved in every step of the bear-making process and will take their new friend home. They also offer parties.
Hoyts at Westfield Carousel is a fantastic, family-friendly cinema to enjoy a school holiday, weekend or evening movie with the kids, or to have a kiddie-free date night. I recently visited with my children aged 2 and 4 and we loved the relaxing recliner seats while watching Toy Story 4!
They offer weekly Prams at the Pix, Hoyts baby-friendly movie sessions, where you can see the latest blockbusters with your baby in tow.
Hoyts Carousel is also home to Hoyts Lux, the premium cinema experience in which you can enjoy food and drinks served right to your seat!
Westfield Carousel has designated ‘parents with prams’ parking spots, which are located in the mutli-deck car park off Liege Street, near Woolworths along Grose Avenue, and on level 2.
There are also a number of parents rooms. These are located in the Food Court, near David Jones, near Nando’s and in the rooftop dining area. All rooms have private feeding cubicles, large changing benches, microwaves and sinks, as well as both an adult size and child size toilet.
