Those of us blessed with Grandparents in our lives know how important they are; both to us as parents and to our kids. They are our cheerleaders, babysitters, teachers and #1 snugglers. Sometimes it's easy to take their support for granted. That's why we've teamed up with LEGO DUPLO to help make Grandad, Pop, Nanna or Gran feel extra special with some out-of-the-box ideas to celebrate Grandparents Day together through play in 2020.

Grandparents Day is a great time to remind ourselves of what grandparents mean to us, and to celebrate with them.

1. Bring in the wrecking ball!

Work together with Grandpa to operate 3 awesome construction vehicles to knock down a building and clear up the mess with the LEGO DUPLO Wrecking Ball Demolition playset. As Gran to help swing the wrecking ball from side to side and demolish the small house, clear the site with the bulldozer, and deliver new building supplies with the truck.



2. 'Toot, Toot!' Countdown to departure on platform 10!

Meet Nan and Pop at Central Station, buy your day tripper tickets and count the stops until you reach Circular Quay for Taronga Zoo with the LEGO DUPLO Number Train playset. Impress everyone with number recognition as you and Pop count the number animals at the zoo and all the twists and turns along the way.



3. Sing your 'ABC's'!

Have a fun, family day out exploring your neighbourhood and learning your ABC's with the colourful LEGO DUPLO Alphabet Truck playset. Drive to the corner store with Grandma to pick-up some milk, eat some ice cream with Grandpa and spend the letting little (and big) imaginations run wild and discover endless new play opportunities.



4. Build it up and knock it down!

Build a busy building site with the LEGO DUPLO Tower Crane & Construction playset and knock it back down to start again! With a big bulldozer, mini bulldozer, dump truck, digger and crane toys, toddlers and grandparents can work together to deliver supplies, build a tower and clear rubble off the street. And when it’s time for lunch, there’s an on-site hotdog stand to visit!



Grandparents Day Competition!

Grandparents are an awesome combination of fun, learning, amazing stories and love. With Grandparents Day coming up on October 25, we’d love for you to share some wonderful moments of your child with their grandparents.
