Many Perth mums start out with the intention of breastfeeding their baby, but the reality is often so different. Some mums have no dramas breastfeeding, but for others, it can be really tough, especially if you aren't aware of complications such as tongue and lip tie, mastitis or breast milk supply, and don’t seek help as a result.
Parenting a newborn is a challenging time, and each and every mum are doing their best, regardless of how you decide to feed. If you need help or would like some additional support with breastfeeding, our Perth Mums Group Useful List is a quick reference to some of the best breastfeeding support services and certified lactation consultants in Perth, with contributions and suggestions by Perth Mums group members. Obviously the list doesn't include all the great support services in Perth, but this is a good starting point. Remember to always do your own research and make sure the service meets your personal needs.
