A lovely holiday park that offers plenty for families and is close to Lancelin.

Ledge Point is a crayfishing town located 10 minutes south of Lancelin. My family and I had a recent long weekend away there, and stayed at the Big 4 Holiday Park Ledge Point. We found plenty to do over the weekend and next time we will stay a little longer and visit some of the other attractions nearby.

Things to do at Big 4 Ledge Point

Our children love a park with a jumping pillow, which seems to be the unofficial hubs for little kids at any holiday park, plus a playground. The jumping pillow and playground are located near the swimming pool and barbecues. There is also a recreation room with games and movies.

Big 4 Ledge Point also has pedal bikes for hire, that you can ride all around the park. There are also plenty of amenities, including showers, laundry and shop selling a range of items. Dogs are welcome, except during peak periods.

Things to do in the area

There is not a huge array of activities in Ledge Point as it is such a small town, but we took our car along beach paths and along the beach, which was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast with the beach all to themselves.

You can also play golf at the Ledge Point Country Club, or just enjoy a lovely dinner with drinks at the restaurant. The club has a kids playground and sport on TV.

As for other shops and restaurants, we found a small general store but typically you will have to go to nearby Lancelin for supplies and to dine out.

Things to do in nearby Lancelin and beyond

Lancelin is a short 10-minute drive and has a selected of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, activities, beaches and the world-famous sand dunes.

Ledge Point is also situated around 50 minutes drive south of the world famous pinnacles and Nambung National Park. Plus, carry on north and you will reach Cervantes, just under an hour away from Ledge Point, while Jurien Bay is just a little bit further than that. Both are ideal day trips from Ledge Point.

We loved our little stay in Ledge Point and the kids had a blast at the park. Next time, we will definitely stay longer and enjoy a couple of day trips along the Coral Coast.
