Below are some of the best places in Perth to meet up with your mums group or friends with kids, with some contributions and suggestions by Perth Mums group members. Obviously the list doesn't include all the awesome spots in Perth, but this is a great place to start. Remember to always do your own research and make sure the venue meets your personal needs.
Located at the iconic Cottesloe Beach Hotel, this outdoor setting is a great place to catch up with your mums group, but it is probably most suitable for mums with young babies as there is no designated kids play area.

With oodles and oodles of space to spread out the prams and picnic blankets, Kings Park is a sprawling haven for mums group meetings. You’ll find cafes and playgrounds dotted around the park – perfect for mums and little ones alike.

With lovely shady spots, takeaway kiosk for coffee and snacks and plenty of space to roll out the picnic blankets, its little wonder so many mums group choose to gather at this lovely spot by the Swan River in Bicton.
The Success library is one with a difference – there is a little café out the front and you can take your coffee into the library for rhyme time and story time, making it an ideal spot for a mums group catch up. Just be aware that coffee will need to be consumed at the designated tables and desks to prevent excessive mess.

With plenty of space and a FREE tea or coffee for parents with entry fees, this is a great place for a mums group gathering. There’s even a pirate ship you can ride with the kids.

North of Perth

With plenty of space to manoeuvre the pram in and out and a kids play section, the Blue Lotus Café is a location of choice for Perth mums.
Hillarys Boat Harbour has a heap of spots to park the prams and have a picnic, while being close to coffee and food spots.

Your local library Most local libraries off free rhyme time and pram jam sessions, making them an ideal spot for a catch up with friends and their bubs. Contact your local library for times and attendance policies.

If you are struggling to find suitable places for you and your mums group or mum friends to catch up, why not consider joining PlaygroupWA? Term fees are about $5 per week, plus an annual insurance fee or around $30, but most amenities are included in the price and it’s a great way to meet new parents in your area.

With rooms for hire, playgrounds and kitchens, Meeralinga is an ideal spot to host a mums group meet up, especially as the bubs get older. Prices start from $18 per hour and you can book well in advance.
