There is a crazy new kids show at Fringe World that features all we love about Perthís favourite festival - a unique setting, audience participation and lots of cheeky jokes. Oh, and thereís oodles of balloons!
Balloonatics is an award-nominated, world-travelled family comedy show brought to you by Scottish comedian Chris Henry, who mums and dads may recognise as a familiar face of the Perth Fringe World.
The Mandurah Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Mandurah mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
Well, now heís back in Perth with a show just for families, but with the same cheeky, madcap style and well-honed comedy routine his audiences have grown accustomed to.
Suitable for ages 4 and over, younger children are welcome, although it may not be suitable for children who are a bit frightened of balloons or just donít like them. But who doesnít like balloons?!
There are a LOT of balloons in this show. There is also a LOT of audience participation - as I found out. I was recruited onto the stage to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Yep. Raphael to be exact! Kids and adults alike can be asked to come up onto the stage at any moment, so be warned!
This is high-energy show didnít stop from start to finish. You barely have time to catch your breath before the next round of tricks and inflatable fun. You may not be totally wowed by the balloon skills, but you will be kept laughing and wondering what exactly is coming next.
Get yourself the perfect family portrait this year before the little ones grow up and cannot fit into that cute sailor suit anymore.
Expect a lot of chaos and a few naughty, adult jokes the kids wonít get (you may need to be prepared to explain said jokes, so donít say I didnít warn you about that either.)
From the UK to more than 15 countries, Balloonatics shows that it doesnít matter how technically gifted you are, as long as youíre having fun!
Balloonatics is sure to be a hit with kids and adults of all ages. Oh, and every child gets a balloon at the end! Book your tickets today and join in this madcap hour of fun.
