A fun, family-friendly festival on the banks of the iconic Lilac Hill grounds!

The City of Swan and Perth Airport Avon Descent Festival is back for 2019! This year, the popular festival is set to make an even bigger splash with a bumper program of FREE fun on Sunday, 4th August 2019.

Positioned on the water’s edge at the iconic Lilac Hill grounds, the festival is the prime spot to cheer on competitors in the 2019 Avon Descent as they speed by!

The 2019 program is the biggest to date, with a bumper program of entertainment for all of the family from 10am-3pm.

The Movida Estate Main Stage will feature a HUGE line up, including the Jonny Taylor band, performances from the Splat! games show, Perth’s favourite street performer Mickey J and interactive fun with Rock ’N’ Toddle.

The Perth Airport Fun Zone will be packed with plenty of activities for young and old. There will be vintage fair rides, inflatable slides and ninja challenges, interactive games and a ride on train, plus activities from Scitech, Native Animal Rescue, Whiteman Park, Mundaring Arts Centre, Swan Active and Thinking Green.

At the Midland Gate Garden Party, green thumbs can plant and decorate their very own pot plant and meet some face painting fairies.

For those looking to chill out, the Avon Ridge Retreat is a little slice of serenity by the river, with luxurious massages and other secret treats.

If you’re looking for a unique gift, The Vintage Collective Markets is the place to be! This year will feature the iconic pinup parade and a display of vintage vehicles and caravans to swoon over.

The festival will offer plenty of delicious street food from the food pop-up truck, which can you sit and enjoy in the lounge and dining space.

Even getting to the festival is easy! There will be free shuttle buses from Guildford Train Station and Midland Gate running all day, plus limited free parking available on site.
