My son has done about 6 sessions of speech therapy with telethon speech & hearing over the last couple months.
For those that went through it, how long or how many sessions do you think it took to start making a real difference in their talking? He's 3 at the end of November and it seems he hasn't really progressed all that much since starting, he's attempting a couple more words but still no where near what I expected. 😕
He's frustrated because he can't express what he wants or needs and I'm frustrated because I can't understand what he wants either. 🙁
Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? Perth Knitting Club has classes for you.
Did you find speech therapy was just one of those reoccurring things that you continued for years or was it X amount of sessions and then they got the hang of speaking and progressed on their own from there?
Speech therapist said he wasn't severe delay but isn't where he should be at all for his age (should be talking in small sentences) and is currently using single words and not a large variety.
I know every child is different just looking for any advice on it. 😕
