Hi ladies, I have a bit of a dilemma where I don't know what's the right thing to do.

My stepmum has a bad temper and been emotionally unstable at times. When I was younger and living with my dad for a while, she got extremely angry and started throwing plates at me and my sister. She is very controlling of what my dad is allowed to do or say - there is no such thing as a private conversation with him, as he has to tell her everything.

She also expects me and my siblings to treat her like our mum, but she never treated us equally to her daughter. Her daughter got expensive private school, dance lessons, went to concerts and overseas trips all the time. These are just a few of the issues we have had with her.

She has also been sending me and my sister abusive messages late at night, when we ask her to stop she won't. My sister asked me to go with her to talk to our dad and tell him we won't be talking to her anymore.

But the big problem is, she has had cancer for a year and we just don't know how long she has left. Is it morally wrong to kick her out of our lives when she might not have long to live and is suffering?
