After successfully raising over $4000 for charity in 2016 at their inaugural Christmas Lights for Perth Children’s Hospital charity fundraiser event, the team at 22 Newbury Way in Alkimos are doubling their efforts in 2017. This year they will be holding their Christmas Lights extravaganza over two consecutive Saturday evenings!



The Winter Wonderland theme on Saturday, 2 December will appeal to the little ones with guest appearances from Frozen’s Anna, Elsa and Olaf, Minions and various other characters. The Super Heroes theme on Saturday, 9 December will appeal to slightly older children and will feature guest appearances from various superheroes and Stitches the Bear. Santa Claus and his helper Elf will be present at both events so why queue at the shopping centre for an expensive photo with Santa when you can easily get one there on Santa’s sleigh for a gold coin donation to charity?

The house will be decorated with even more Christmas lights and decorations than last year to create a magical display that will amaze both young and old. Other fabulous attractions include a DJ, balloon twisting, face painting and a bouncy castle. There will be a sausage sizzle and cupcakes for sale. Cool character gift merchandise such as Spiderman and Minions disco balls and flashing rings, Frozen rings and Star Wars lightsabers will be available for sale if you need to finish off your Christmas shopping. Perth Children’s Hospital merchandise including mini teddy bears, slap bands, calendars and Christmas tree baubles will also be for sale with all proceeds to charity.

If these events sound like they may be too busy and too much hassle for you to attend during the silly season, don’t worry as there will be plenty of free parking at Alkimos Primary School directly around the corner on Benenden Avenue in Alkimos. Everyone is encouraged to keep to the footpaths and not walk on the road for safety.



All funds raised will be donated to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (formerly PMH Foundation). Gold coin donations are requested for photos and for participation in activities. The fundraising team passionately headed by Lisa and Steve are most grateful to their volunteers and sponsors and look forward to smashing last year’s fundraising total with your participation! Receipts are available on request for tax deductible donations over $2 (but note that food, beverage and merchandise purchases are not considered to be donations). So mark these dates in your diary and start saving some gold coins to donate to a worthy cause while having some family Christmas fun!
