Welcome to 2017! Now that Christmas and New Year’s Eve are just a distant memory, it’s time to remember that there are still several weeks to go before the kids go back to school. If you need to find ways to entertain the kids, here are some activities for the fourth week of the school holidays.

Hopman Cup 2017

The Wizard of Oz

Ex-cell-ent Holiday Advenure, Nedlands

Tutankhamun – His Tomb and His Treasures Exhibition, Perth
Date: Every day from 10am until Sunday, 15th January 2017.

Dark Universe at Scitech, West Perth
Date: Every day 10am to 5pm from now until 30th January, 2017 (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.)

Cost: Free with general entry to Scitech.

This short documentary is showing at the Scitech planetarium and is free with general entry. Not suitable for kids aged under four years.

Duyfken Replica Tours, Elizabeth Quay, Perth

Date: Wednesday to Sunday from now until Sunday, 2nd April, 2017.

North of the River

Summer Fun on the Swan, Bayswater
Date: Saturday, 7th and Sunday, 8th January 2017 from 9am to 4:30pm.

Learn valuable lifesaving skills at these free summer sessions – you and the kids can learn CPR, while teens aged 14 and over can obtain their Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion certificate.

School Holiday Performance Workshop, Sapphire Dance Studio, Malaga
Date: Tuesday, 10th January to Thursday, 12th, January 2017.

Suitable for kids aged seven and over, these dance workshops will cover singing, dancing, acting, audition techniques and script reading. The workshops include lunch.

School Holidays at the WA Maritime Museum – Captain Travers’ Treasures Quest
Date: Saturday, 7th January to Wednesday, 11th 2017 from 10am to 4pm.

Cost: $2 for the Indonesian Shadow Puppet. Suitable for ages four and over.

Family Photography Classes

Art Camp Upper Primary, Fremantle
